Like other legumes, such as peanuts, peas, and lentils, black beans are prized for their high protein and fiber content and other nutrients like iron, magnesium, and folate. This makes them a healthy alternative to meat-based burgers, which can be high in saturated fat and cholesterol.
Are black bean burgers healthy?
But beyond that, they’re also a wonderful source of fiber, zinc, magnesium, folate, calcium, iron, copper, manganese, and B vitamins! So when a burger craving hits, but you’re trying to make healthy choices, no big deal!
